Jill understands that effective communication from leaders at every level is essential to an organization’s vision and success — because she’s lived it. Prior to launching Vitiello Communications Group, Jill held management positions in corporate communications for American International Group, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and The Equitable Companies. While at Equitable, Jill served as the speechwriter for the Chief Executive Officer. Jill knows the inner workings of the corporate world, and communicates in language that gets results.

Thought Leader:

A thought leader in the communications industry, Jill writes, speaks and blogs on business communications and entrepreneurship. Her educational seminars and workshops consistently receive rave reviews. She has presented to professional associations such as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), The Association for Women in Communications, Council of Communications Management (CCM), The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, The Institute of Management Consultants, the New Jersey Society of Association Executives, and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Giving back:

Jill believes in giving back to the communications community. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Communications Management (CCM) and served as Chair for the 2006 and 2007 Conferences. She is a past-president of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and has served on the regional IABC Board of Directors. Jill also was an adjunct faculty member at Middlesex County College and a founding member of its Council for Faculty Development.

Creativity:

Jill earned numerous peer awards including the IABC Gold Quill Award for speechwriting, as well as awards for her merger and acquisition communication strategy, marketing communications and congressional testimony.

Jill has written under her own by-line for consumer, trade and business publications such as The New York Times, Computerworld, Financial Executive, The Handbook of Business Strategy, and Mothers Today, New Jersey Countryside and Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion. In addition, she has ghost-written three books for a leading information technology guru, and has contributed chapters to several business books. Her writing talents speak to people in board rooms as well as break rooms.

Education:

Jill earned a Master of Arts degree in journalism from New York University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University, and a Certificate in Women’s Studies as an undergraduate.
