Barbara Ross

Barbara RossBarbara Ross, Senior Writer, Vitiello Communications Group, is an award-winning communicator with extensive experience in corporate and business-to-business marketing communications. She researches, writes, edits and manages print, electronic and face-to-face communications for a wide range of clients – from multinational corporations to agencies and not-for-profit associations.

Thinking Like a Client:

Barbara believes that effective communicators are active listeners who know how to ask the right questions. Whether she is writing a single article for a publication or developing a comprehensive communications plan, she begins every project by learning all she can about goals, business objectives, key messages and target audiences.

Serving the Community:

Outside the business arena, Barbara utilizes her communication skills in various community and pro bono projects. For 10 years she has taught at the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ, earning the Director’s Award for Outstanding Service in 1999. She is a past executive vice president of the New York Chapter, International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Barbara has won awards from the NY and NJ chapters of IABC, the New Jersey Art Directors Club, New Jersey Advertising Club, and the Society for Technical Communication.

Education:

A Wisconsin native, Barbara was raised in New Jersey and educated at Heidelberg College in Ohio, where she earned a B.A. degree in English and speech.
