POSITION TITLE:       Intern

REPORTS TO:            President, Vitiello Communications Group, LLC

POSITION TYPE:        Sub-contractor; on-site and off-site; part-time, flexible hours

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter with excellent writing, researching, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills who desires entry-level experience in a dynamic corporate communications environment. The internship is project-based and consists of specific goals and deliverables, which the intern will be expected to complete on deadline.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct primary and secondary research on corporate communications, business technology and entrepreneurial topics
• Develop and maintain an online library of key resources
• Develop and maintain database of business-critical information
• Write and produce marketing materials
• Learn Web programming software and updating Web site
• Create PowerPoint presentations
• Write articles

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or significant work toward a bachelor’s degree. Preferred majors include English, corporate communications, marketing.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including FrontPage, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Outstanding organization skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
• Excellent researching skills
• Proven writing ability – samples are essential; a writing test is required
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually with minimal supervision
• Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

COMPENSATION:     

Commensurate with experience
