Are You Ready for What's Next?
We just got back from the annual Conference of the Council of Communication Management – and are we pumped! At the May 5 welcome reception, Vitiello Communications Group
raffled off a free iPad. The lucky winner is Colleen Ferguson of
Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles, California. Congratulations to Colleen –
enjoy using your iPad!
You are going to find so many fun uses for it. Luckily, the iPad we
bought for the office arrived just days before the raffle – so I didn't
have to pry our prize out of Mike's hands. At our firm – and in our
family room – we are using iPad to update our social media sites, read
iBooks, and watch videos.
We're not the only ones. ChannelWeb reports that Cisco's CTO Padmasree Warrior recently noted "the killer apps will continue to be video, collaboration and virtualization thanks to a demand for immersive experiences." That's the experience that iPad aims to deliver.
Everywhere I go, I ask people what they think about iPad. Their responses range from fanatical to skeptical. Read a few of my blog posts about iPad buzz – and read further in this issue for our report on what Dialog readers think. Then decide for yourself.
Best-

What You Think About iPad
Thanks to our readers for taking the 15-second survey in the April issue of Dialog. Here's how you answered our three questions:

If the 200 communication professionals who vied for a free iPad at
the CCM Conference is a fair indication, it looks as if we are aiming to
be early adopters of the device. In fact, one Conference participant
wrote us just yesterday to report that, although she didn't win the
iPad, she was delighted to receive one for Mother's Day. Actually, her
kids gave her an IOU because the gift is on back order. Note to
Generation Y: act now—Father's Day is just a few weeks away!
