Jill Vitiello, president of Vitiello Communications Group, LLC, has been named among the top women entrepreneurs in North America by Enterprising Women magazine. Vitiello will be recognized as a finalist in the 2009 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, at the annual conference of North America’s top women entrepreneurs, on March 12, in Orlando, Fla.
Award recipients have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other female entrepreneurs, and stand out as leaders in their communities.
“These awards recognize some of our nation’s most talented women business owners,” said Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine. “Our mission with this award celebration is to showcase the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable group of women entrepreneurs, both in their industries and local communities.”
A life-long resident of New Jersey, Vitiello started the company in 1990 after a successful career leading corporate communications activities for several global financial services firms. Vitiello Communications Group is a certified woman-owned small business, recognized by the State of New Jersey and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

Active in numerous industry associations, Vitiello served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Communications Management (CCM) and was Chair for its 2006 and 2007 conferences. She is a past-president of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and has served on the regional IABC Board of Directors. Vitiello also was an adjunct faculty member at Middlesex County College and a founding member of its Council for Faculty Development. In addition, Vitiello is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and the New York Speechwriters’ Roundtable.
